Usage
It says that something was true in the past, is true in the present, and will be true in the future.
It expresses general statements of fact and general truths.
It is used to express habitual or everyday activities.

(c) I get up at seven every morning.
(d) I always eat a salad for lunch.
Affirmative form
I help.
We/You/They help.
He/She/It helps.
Negative form
I do not help.

Question form

In simple present when the subject is singular third person, we conjugate the verb by adding final “s”.
In negative and question forms an auxiliary verb (do/dose) is used and no change is made on the main verb, even if the subject is singular third person.
In simple present we normally do not use the auxiliary verb “do” in affirmative form, but if we want to emphasize on something, we may use it. (I do apologize. / She does love her job.)
